KickStarter for more Fate dice. I know, not Shadowrun system but I am about to run a Dresden game for a bit and wanted to share more dice with my Chummers. They have some great looking dice for a KickStart Project if anyone wants to help out. I am still trying to figure out how much to help out since I like several of the dice.
I’m going back to Albuquerque for a long weekend in May (I have to be there on the 2nd), but I’ll be in Oregon for all of June. I did go to the first ACE, and it was pretty cool.
Albuquerque’s in a privileged position for a city of its size to have as many comics stores as it does, as well as stores that sell a decent amount of RPG and gaming stuff.
Anyway, while the original plot changed quite a bit, I would like to mention that a very close family friend is a geologist specializing in water resources. So I consulted with him on the underground geology of the Middle Rio Grande Valley and the Sandias that could be exploited through Celedyr’s ability to “swim” bodily through solid rock, and that it was related to the Rio Grande’s increased size and output in Shadowrun—if we ran it realistically out to the 2070s, the Rio Grande and the aquifers under north-central New Mexico would be nearly dry—that makes the PCC viable.
Very spiffy for the long weekend in Albuquerque. That is about when my best friend and I are off on our road trip to Phoenix for the Comic Con out there. The Babylon 5 cast, several writers and tons of comic book people we want to meet are out there so we have decided on a road trip to see it all. I have been to all the ACE’s here in Albuquerque and they keep getting bigger, which is great to have a good solid comic con here in the city.
Interesting ideas with the geology of the area, on of those other odd ball interests I have. I like the idea of the ‘swimming’ thought solid rock, the Sandia’s are large enough to give him plenty of space. It will be interesting to see what comes from the plot line that are evolving in the Shadowrun world here in Albuquerque. I wonder if they are going to start using the Manzano mountains too, there is a nice base and hollowed out part already available.
You know your a hard core gamer that when daylight saving evening means an extra hour of gaming that night. Yup, that is the logic my players and I came to when it hit 1 AM, we went until after 2 AM just to relive the hour and get more gaming in. The caffeine helps with this staying up for a much longer gaming session.
I figured out I don’t have many motivational posters for my every other Sunday game of Superheroes. So instead I will just hope my dice don’t try to kill me. Most of the games I am in, I am the GM but here I am a player with dice that often think 1’s are amusing. Sigh, dice karma.
I think I am in the same boat.
